Job summary

Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) is seeking a Manager of Carrier Development to lead the lifecycle of carrier partnerships, from vetting and onboarding to contracting and performance reviews.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Carrier Management, you will negotiate rates, ensure compliance with KAGL standards, and drive capacity with internal stakeholders. This role is onsite and requires leadership of a growing carrier network.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation or related field.
  • 5 years of progressive transportation/logistics experience (bulk preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective multi-tasking and organization.
  • Rate negotiation experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated with proactive approach.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and recommends optimum hiring of carriers.
  • Negotiate rates to meet business needs.
  • Engage in carrier outreach to identify and build new carrier relationships.
  • Works with internal stakeholders to build carrier capacity.
  • Overall accountability for the compliance of all carriers to KAGL's standards.
  • Manage carrier resources; monitor carrier performance.
  • Maintain & perform carrier audits of rates and performance.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop talent within the group.
