Job summary

The Manager of Carrier Development at Paycom - ATS in North Canton, OH oversees the carrier lifecycle from vetting and onboarding to rate negotiation and contracting, with accountability for performance reviews. This onsite role reports to the SR.

Director of Carrier Management and requires strong negotiation, leadership, and compliance with standards. You will drive carrier outreach, collaborate with internal teams to build capacity, and develop talent within the group to ensure optimal carrier

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, transportation, or related field.
• Critical Thinking Skills
• Effective Multi-tasking
• 5 years of progressive transportation/logistics experience (Bulk preferred)
• Effective verbal and written communication & organizational skills
• Rate negotiation preferred
• Self Motivated

Responsibilities

• Negotiate rates to meet business needs.
• Engage in carrier outreach to identify and build new carrier relationships.
• Works with internal stakeholders to build carrier capacity.
• Overall accountability for the compliance of all carriers to KAGL’s standards.
• Manage carrier resources; monitor carrier performance
• Maintain & perform carrier audits of rates and performance.
• Coach, mentor, and develop talent within the group

The Manager of Carrier Development is responsible for the life cycle of a carrier. Including, but not limited to vetting and onboarding, rate negotiation, contracting and awarding, and performance review.

The Manager of Carrier Development reports to the SR. Director of Carrier Management.
