Job summary

SET Logistics, LLC, a Birmingham-based freight brokerage, seeks a Compliance & Carrier Support Representative to join our in-office team. You will act as the first point of contact for trucking companies onboarding as contract carriers, applying our decision criteria to pass or not pass and documenting exceptions.

You will collaborate with internal teams and leadership to refine insurance, contracts, and personnel processes, while identifying emerging risks and building solutions with our tech

Qualifications

• Excellent, confident communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven sales and/or customer service experience, preferably in Commercial Insurance and/or Transportation.
• Exceptional, creative problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Excellent time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills.
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide input and administration of SET’s motor carrier Compliance protocols.
• Maintain detailed records and notes for exception management.
• Communicate with motor carriers, dispatchers, finance intermediaries (factoring companies), insurance agents, and industry peers to evaluate prospective contractor qualifications in real time.
• Communicate with internal sales / account teams.
• Provide periodic reports to SET leadership.
• Engage with SET’s tech / development team to build cutting-edge solutions and Compliance automation.
