Job summary

Morton Buildings, Inc. is expanding our construction crews and employee owners. Under the guidance of your crew foreman you will learn and apply safety and construction procedures, read and work from construction plans, and use a range of tools to construct buildings.

This role offers a $2,000 first-year bonus, $500 quarterly bonus during the first year, and 25% travel. Hourly pay ranges from $19.00 to $21.00, with progressive increases over three years based on experience, training, and

Qualifications

• Building construction experience preferred (post-frame, carpentry or framing).
• Willingness to participate in and complete a training program.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred.
• Available to work 9-10 hours during peak construction season.
• Ability to take direction and produce quality work.
• Commitment to safety processes and procedures.
• Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools safely.
• Ability to operate specialized safety equipment at heights up to 40 feet.
• Capable of 25% travel including overnight trips up to two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Learn, keep current with and apply Morton Buildings' safety and construction procedures, methods, and standards.
• Read, understand and build according to construction plans.
• Utilize various tools and equipment to safely and efficiently construct buildings.
• Execute tasks such as digging, footing installation, framing walls and roofs, installing windows and doors, and applying siding and roofing materials.
• Work with crew to maintain a safe, organized, productive environment.
