Job summary

Morton Buildings is expanding its construction crews and employee-owner teams. Earn $21.00 to $23.00 per hour based on experience, with a $2,000 first-year bonus plus a $500 quarterly retention bonus in the first year. Eligible for ESOP, life insurance, training bonuses, and other benefits.

Travel up to 20% may be required, including overnight trips. We seek candidates with construction experience, willingness to train, and the ability to work safely at heights up to 40 feet.

Qualifications

• Experience in building construction or carpentry preferred.
• Willingness to participate in and complete a training program.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred.
• Available to work 9–10 hours during peak season.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with occasional up to 100 pounds.
• Able to work at heights up to 40 feet.
• Travel up to 20% including overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply Morton Buildings' safety and construction procedures.
• Read, understand and build according to construction plans.
• Utilize tools and equipment to construct buildings safely and efficiently.
• Dig and install footings, frame walls and roofs, install windows and doors, and fit siding and roofing materials.
• Collaborate with crew to maintain a safe, organized and respectful work environment.
