Job summary

Primoris Energy Services Corp is seeking a skilled carpenter to perform construction, maintenance, and repair of wooden structures and fixtures. Duties include reading blueprints, selecting materials, and installing components with hand and power tools.

The role requires 2–4 years of carpenter experience in commercial or industrial settings, strong math and blueprint skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team while meeting safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of Carpenter experience in commercial/industrial setting.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics and construction drawings.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations relevant to carpentry tasks.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk/climb for extended periods.
• Must adhere to safety regulations and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard using carpenter's hand tools and power tools.
• Studies blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required, dimensions of structure or fixture, and recommendations for fabrication and installation.
• Selects specified type of lumber or other materials.
• Prepares layouts, measures, cuts, or shapes wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall using saws, chisels, and planes.
• Assembles cut and shaped materials and fastens them together with nails, dowel pins, screws, or glue.
• Installs structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, trims, and hardware, using carpenters' hand and power tools.
• Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
