Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking a Carpenter to construct, erect, install, and repair wood and other material structures on industrial and commercial sites. You will follow blueprints, measure precisely, and work with hand and power tools to build frameworks and fixtures.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, strong teamwork, and a commitment to safety standards. A valid driver’s license is expected, with OSHA 10/30 preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Carpenter in industrial or commercial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
• Proficient with hand and power tools used in carpentry.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials and safety regulations.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, climbing, bending).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select lumber and materials for fabrication.
• Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and other materials with hand and power tools.
• Build or repair frameworks, roofs, stairways, doorframes, and other wooden fixtures.
• Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, and flooring.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
• Supervise and train apprentices or helpers when required.
• Follow all safety policies and wear PPE.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

You will perform a variety of skilled carpentry tasks on industrial and commercial construction projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

• Select specified type of lumber or other materials and prepare for fabrication.


• Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and other materials with hand and power tools.


• Build or repair frameworks, roofs, stairways, doorframes, and other wooden fixtures.


• Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, and flooring.


• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
