Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC is seeking a Part-Time Server at Arete at Grande Ronde in La Grande, OR. You will take and deliver meal orders, assist with dining room setup, and provide warm, courteous service to residents and guests during meals.

Responsibilities include food safety adherence, collaborating with kitchen staff, and supporting room service orders while maintaining a clean dining environment. A patient, friendly demeanor and knowledge of dietary needs are essential.

Qualifications

• Food service sanitation and safety knowledge typically gained on the job.
• Maintain high personal hygiene standards while working.
• Interpersonal skills to relate with residents and staff.
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.
• Must obtain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Current Food Handler's card issued by local Health Department.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and related regulations for hospital/nursing home operations.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Create warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately recording and delivering meal and beverage orders from residents.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and courteously, presented attractively.
• Provide attentive service, check residents' needs during meals.
• Set up the dining room before meals and maintain cleanliness.
• Clear and reset tables for the next service.
• Take and deliver room service orders to residents' apartments.
• Know menu and dietary needs; answer questions about food and special diets.
• Interact professionally with residents and guests.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Collaborate with wait staff and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Dispose of food and waste per established policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
