Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) in Houston, TX is seeking a DOT inspection certified mechanic with 3 to 5 years of tank trailer repair experience. The role emphasizes diagnosing failures and repairing mechanical and electrical systems while ensuring DOT HM183 compliance.

Shifts are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm CT. Pay ranges from $21.00 to $41.00 per hour, with skill-based reviews and semi-annual increases.

Qualifications

• Must hold DOT inspection certification and be able to perform tank trailer repairs.
• Diagnose failures and repair mechanical/electrical systems on tank trailers.
• Repair tank service, trailer suspension, and air brake systems.
• Welding experience with TIG (optional) may be beneficial.
• Follow DOT HM183 and hazmat standards during inspections and work.

We are currently searching for DOT inspection certified mechanic with 3 to 5 years of tank trailer repair experience for our Houston, TX. location!

Address: 7600 East Sam Houston Parkway North, Houston, TX. 77049.

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm CT.

Pay Range: $21.00 to $41.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

(Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.)

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
