Job summary

FirstLight Home Care in Richmond, KY, is hiring a Caregiver to provide compassionate, client‑centered care in clients' homes. This on-site role offers opportunities to work closely with a care team to enhance clients' wellbeing and quality of life in their own environments.

You will build trusting relationships, assist with daily living activities, and support clients with mobility and personal care. Weekend availability and reliable transportation are important.

Role Overview:

As a Caregiver at FirstLight Home Care, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and supportive care to our clients in their homes. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our care team to ensure that each client feels valued and respected, contributing to their overall well-being and quality of life. This is an on-site position located in Richmond, Kentucky, where you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Providing companionship and engaging conversation with clients.Build positive, trusting relationships with clients while maintaining their dignity and respect.
2. Preparing and serving nutritious meals tailored to clients' needs.
3. Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities to clients in their homes, assisting clients with bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
4. Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.
5. Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity of care and address any client concerns.

Qualifications:

5. Ability to practice safe transfers and mobility assistance. with ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
6. Flexibility in working hours and availability on weekends.
7. Reliable transportation to travel between client locations as needed.

Bonus If You:

1. Have previous experience in home care or a related field.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is available as Part Time, or Temporary, with shifts available Monday through Sunday. Potential for full time hours.

Location:

This position is located in clients homes in Richmond, Kentucky (Madison County) and all surrounding counties. Caregiver must be willing to travel to client's homes in surrounding counties.
