Job summary

FirstLight Home Care is seeking a compassionate Home Caregiver to provide one-on-one in-home care in Somerset (Corbin), Kentucky. You will work with a care team to support clients’ daily living activities, safety and well-being in their own homes.

The role emphasizes compassionate companionship, mobility assistance, meal prep, and medication reminders, with on-site client visits throughout the local area. Flexible shifts are available to fit family and personal needs.

Qualifications

Role Overview:

As a Home Caregiver at FirstLight Home Care, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and supportive care to our clients in their homes. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our care team to ensure that each client feels valued and respected, contributing to their overall well-being and quality of life. This is an on-site position located in Somerset (Corbin), Kentucky, where you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Providing companionship and engaging conversation with clients.
2. Preparing and serving nutritious meals tailored to clients' needs.
3. Assisting clients with bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
4. Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.
5. Supporting clients with medication reminders and attending to daily living activities.

Qualifications:

2. Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Basic knowledge of caregiving and personal care practices.
5. Ability to practice safe transfers and mobility assistance. with ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
6. Flexibility in working hours and availability on weekends.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is available as Full Time, Part Time, or Temporary, with shifts available Monday through Sunday.

Location:

This position is located in clients homes in Somerset (Corbin), Kentucky and all surrounding counties. Caregiver must be willing to travel to client's homes in surrounding counties.
