Job summary

HomeWell Care Services of NWI is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors, one-on-one, in their own homes. You will help with daily living tasks and build meaningful relationships while supporting independence with empathy and integrity.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification required; CNA/HHA or 6+ months geriatric care preferred
• Experience with Dementia/Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of TB test as required by Indiana
• Must lift/push/pull ~25 lbs
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with insurance
• Compassionate heart for older adults
• Excellent communication skills
• Mature, caring, punctual and reliable

Responsibilities

With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation and other care as needed
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test (as required by the State of Indiana)
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• A compassionate heart for older adults
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable
