Job summary

Dorsey College is seeking a Career Service Advisor I to guide graduates through externships and job placement, coordinating site selection and monitoring progress. You’ll help students by refining resumes, covering letters, and interview prep, while building employer relationships for opportunities.

Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, as is willingness to travel locally and collaborate with campus teams to support student success.

Qualifications

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable, highly motivated with a positive attitude.
• Strong ability to multi-task with interruptions.
• Ability to work well individually and in a team.
• Proficient with basic office equipment and software.
• Willingness to travel within 10 miles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate externship programs and monitor student progress.
• Assist students with resumes, cover letters, and interview prep.
• Develop relationships with area employers for externships and job placements.
• Communicate with students and graduates about job search activities.
• Submit reports and maintain documentation in CampusVue.

Education

Associate degree or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree preferred
