Job summary

Dorsey College in Michigan is seeking a dedicated Career Service Advisor I to guide externships and job placements for graduates across campuses. You will identify externship sites, monitor progress, interface with employers, and submit final grades and reports.

Build relationships with local employers to enhance externship and job placement opportunities. Responsibilities include counseling students, assisting with resumes and interview prep, and coordinating campus job fairs and events.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous job development/job placement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate externship site selection and monitoring.
• Develop relationships with area employers to support externship and job placement.
• Assist students with resume writing and interview preparation.
• Document progress and finalize reports in CampusVue.
• Conduct externship meetings and track student progress.
• Facilitate on-campus job fairs and career services events.
