Job summary

Dorsey College seeks a Career Service Advisor I to guide externship and job placement for graduates. You will coordinate externships, monitor progress, and liaise with employers to secure opportunities. You will also help students refine resumes and prepare for interviews.

Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, with a focus on building relationships with employers and supporting students throughout their career searches.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous job development/job placement experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of CampusVue software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate externship program and identify externship sites for each student.
• Monitor student progress during externship and collect attendance reports.
• Interface with employers and submit final grades and reports.
• Develop relationships with area employers to assist externship and job placement.
• Assist students with resume writing and cover letters.
• Conduct mock interviews and Career Services exit interviews.
• Communicate regularly with students and graduates about job search activities.
