Job summary

Lindenwood is seeking a Career Service Advisor I to support externship and job placement efforts at the Dorsey College campus. You will guide graduates through externships, help identify sites, monitor progress, and manage final reports.

Responsibilities include resume assistance, mock interviews, employer outreach, and campus-wide career services coordination. Some local travel and after-hours involvement may be required.

Qualifications

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable, motivated with a positive attitude
• Strong ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions
• Ability to work well individually and in a team
• Proficient with basic office equipment and software
• Working knowledge of CampusVue preferred
• Ability to travel within 10 miles to assigned locations

Responsibilities

• Coordinate externship meetings and identify externship sites
• Monitor student progress and collect attendance reports
• Prepare final grades and reports for externs
• Develop relationships with area employers for externships and job placement
• Assist students with resume writing and cover letters
• Conduct mock interviews and career counseling
• Maintain student resumes for employer use
• Attend local job fairs and industry events
• Document contacts and activities in CampusVue
• Meet with graduates to review resumes and job search plans
