Job summary

AHRC New York City is seeking two Employment Case Managers for its Manhattan Train & Earn program. The role coordinates services, supports participants through the DYCD-supported training and employment pathway, and ensures progress toward employment goals.

The programs serve youth and young adults aged 16-24, with comprehensive benefits and a schedule of Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm. A strong background in social work and city systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associates or Bachelor's degree in social work or related field with experience interacting with City systems such as public assistance, child welfare, education, and housing.
• At least three years of successful case management/counseling experience with City systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with participants, families, employers, and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and independent work skills; teaching or training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate support services for individuals on a caseload relating to employment success.
• Assist participants with paperwork and administrative tasks for the program.
• Prepare service plans and other plans to support employment goals.
• Plan services addressing social factors in development of employment plans, including financial planning and access to community resources.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, service plans, and progress notes.
• Provide in-person or remote supportive services as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
• Conduct personal and group meetings with participants and their networks.
• Monitor progress on caseload and track program activities and outcomes.
• Promote program engagement and track training attendance.
