Goodwill Central Oklahoma is seeking a Job Developer to support individuals facing barriers to employment. The role involves direct client service, assessing skills and barriers, and cultivating relationships with local employers to create job opportunities and vocational paths.

The position emphasizes preparing clients for employment, providing coaching on resumes, interviews, and workplace skills, and guiding them through job boards and local workforce platforms to secure placements and ensure

Qualifications

• Some college work or Associate's degree preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse populations with barriers to employment.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, prepares, and conducts new client orientations daily.
• Conducts comprehensive assessments of client background, interests, skills, and employment readiness.
• Identify barriers to employment and develop strategies to address them with the client.
• Collaborate with Case Managers to identify career pathways and set measurable goals.
• Deliver workshops and coaching on employment skills (resume, interviews, soft skills, time management).
• Build relationships with employers and recruit job leads; advocate for clients to secure interviews.
• Educate employers on benefits of hiring diverse and barriered populations; navigate job boards and local platforms.
