Job summary

Goodwill of OC seeks a Career Navigator in Mission Viejo, CA to design career plans for staff in the Opportunity Accelerator program and to guide assessments and trainings. You will lead staff through individualized plans, assist with job research, and support resume development.

Responsibilities include enrollment, interviewing, and coordinating with management and community partners, while maintaining records and driving staff toward better wages and careers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Two years relevant experience working in workforce development.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective grammar, English, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Enrol staff into the career counseling project and create individual program plans for each phase.
• Assist staff with career research, training, and educational assessments.
• Provide career counseling, mock interview sessions, and job search support to staff.
• Coordinate services with Goodwill management and community partners.
• Maintain program records and monthly statistics for reporting.
