Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Houston is seeking a Mission Support professional to connect associates with life and work coaching, career counseling, and community resources. You will manage IDP cycles and coordinate services to promote retention and growth.

This role requires strong communication, case management experience, and the ability to work across multiple locations, travel as needed, and maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• At least 1 year of case management experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of community resources in business, government, non-profit, and faith-based orgs.
• Experience as a facilitator, instructor, or career coach.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact with diverse personalities.
• Ability to analyze opportunities and problems, identify and evaluate alternatives, and develop effective approaches to address issues.
• Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate goals and work plans.
• Reliable transportation.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manage the associate's IDP cycle from assessment through evaluation.
• Build positive relationships through coaching and education.
• Promote GWH programs to raise awareness and support career advancement.
• Navigate career pathways within GWH and local resources.
• Refer associates to community resources and services as needed.
• Document coaching notes in electronic case management systems.
• Coordinate with associates and pre-schedule meetings.
• Intervene in crises and travel to multiple locations as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety procedures.
