Job summary

Tallahassee State College seeks a Career Development Specialist to serve at the Santa Rosa Correctional Institution, delivering the Compass 100 Hybrid and in-cell instruction to eligible participants under the Lead Educator. You will support pre-release planning and employment readiness through direct, face-to-face and technology-based interactions.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or high school diploma plus two years of experience in workforce development, social services, or corrections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Bonus if associate degree plus one year of experience in social services or corrections.

Responsibilities

• Administration and interpretation of assessments.
• Delivery of the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum.
• Delivery of other programs as determined by the Department.
• Maintaining and providing documentation of services delivered.
• Reporting monthly attendance, program enrollments, and completions on the DC5-149 form.
• Providing pre-release connections to community providers and employers for inmate release planning.
• Assisting Pre-Release Employment Navigators with hiring events, mock interviews, and job search readiness.
