Job summary

Tallahassee State College (TSC) invites applications for a full-time, grant-funded Career Development Specialist – P07816 at the Lowell Correctional Institution Annex (Region III). The role emphasizes in-cell instruction, assessment interpretation, and delivering the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program to eligible participants under direction from the Lead Educator.

The successful candidate will coordinate employment readiness, collaborate with community providers, and support release planning

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or high school diploma and two years of professional experience in workforce development, social services or corrections.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Administer and interpret assessments.
• Deliver the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum.
• Deliver other programs as directed by the Department.
• Maintain and document services provided.
• Report monthly attendance, enrollments, and completions on DC5-149 form.
• Provide information on pre-release connections with community providers and employers for inmate release planning.
• Assist Pre-Release Employment Navigators with hiring events, mock interviews, job search, recruitment, and portfolio development.
