Tallahassee State College is excited to offer a full-time Career Development Specialist position (P05628) within the DOC - Charlotte Correctional Institution. The role supports Compass 100 Hybrid and in-cell assignments for participants in restrictive housing, under the Lead Educator.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate's Degree or high school diploma with two years of related experience, are proficient in MS Office, and can coordinate pre-release employment efforts and job readiness activities.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or high school diploma with 2 years in workforce development, social services or corrections.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Bonus: Associate's Degree plus 1 year in social services or corrections.

Responsibilities

• Administer and interpret assessments.
• Deliver the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum.
• Maintain documentation of services delivered.
• Report monthly attendance, enrollments and completions.
• Assist with pre-release employment connections and hiring events.
