Job summary

The Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development for the State of Missouri seeks a community-focused professional to promote Job Center services, conduct regional outreach, and coordinate with partners to deliver reemployment support. You’ll help job seekers and employers connect with programs like Trade Act and RESEA while maintaining strong community relationships.

• Beneficial experience in business, personnel or public administration
• Military service background may be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Promote Job Center services and benefits to customers and prospects
• Conduct regional outreach to locate job seekers and employers
• Coordinate with partners to provide comprehensive services
• Provide program-specific services such as Trade Act, UI, RESEA
• Accept and record job orders from employers
• Pre-screen applicants and refer to employers
• May facilitate workshops and job-search activities
• Assist applicants in automated job searches
• Classify job orders and applicant qualifications using skill codes
• Contact employers to address labor needs and promote state initiatives
• Inform employers and organizations about Job Center services; attend Job Fairs
• Develop job opportunities for qualified job seekers
• Provide basic vocational guidance, resume writing and interview coaching
• Assist in evaluating vocational needs and planning
• Complete apprenticeship program
• Perform other related work and maintain attendance
• Beneficial education/experience includes business, personnel or public administration
