Job summary

EP!C’s Career Center Supervisor supports individuals with disabilities in achieving meaningful employment through counseling, skills training, job placement, and employer advocacy.

You will lead a team, ensure HIPAA privacy, coordinate with community partners, and promote independence, inclusion, and long-term success for those served.

This role requires strong communication, organization, and a passion for coaching and professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level or higher not required but leadership experience emphasized.
  • Experience in coordinating services for individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • Ability to supervise staff and manage multiple priorities.
  • HIPAA confidentiality and privacy awareness is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill mandated reporter responsibilities and report any abuse or neglect.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
  • Instruct, train, assess, guide, and supervise individuals in the Career Center and PAES Lab.
  • Assist individuals with personal needs when necessary.
  • Provide individualized coaching to strengthen job skills.
  • Create learning opportunities to promote independence at work and in activities.
  • Support individuals with developing job-search, job-development, and job-retention skills.
  • Communicate progress and challenges with the Community Employment Services Department.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent walking and sitting
  • Regular reaching, grasping, and standing
  • Other physical activities related to an office environment
  • Operates general office equipment, including multi-line phone, fax machine, printer, copier, and personal computer
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in the field of employing people with disabilities
  • Skills in coaching and training others
  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID
Responsibilities include:
  • Fulfill mandated reporter responsibilities and ensure allegations of abuse and neglect are reported appropriately and in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality, and privacy requirements.
  • Instruct, train, assess, guide, support, and supervise individuals in assigned areas, including the Career Center and PAES Lab.
  • When necessary, assist individuals with personal needs, including transferring, toileting, eating, and grooming.
  • Provide individualized, one-to-one coaching to strengthen job skills and improve individuals’ ability to succeed in community employment.
  • Create natural learning opportunities that encourage individuals to be as independent as possible at work and during recreation, leisure, and educational activities.
  • Support individuals with varying levels of work experience and ability in developing job-search, job-development, and job-retention skills.
  • Maintain communication with the Community Employment Services Department regarding individual progress, challenges, and other relevant information.
  • Manage all responsibilities based on the agency's mission, using individual choice, and all appropriate policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Conduct oneself in a way that reflects the highest standards of professional courtesy and ethical practices to people served, staff, guardians, families, and all outside contacts
