Job summary

EP!C is seeking a dedicated professional to mentor staff and lead orientation and training for Team Leads and Director Support Professionals. In collaboration with the Operations Manager and QIDP, you will coach professionals who support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and model best practices in community-based learning and positive behavioral approaches.

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
  • Experience and skills in Team Building
  • One year of experience with persons with Developmental disabilities.
  • Skill in coaching and training adult learners
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a mentor to assist in the orientation and training of newly hired staff and Team Leads.

Description

Serve as a mentor to assist in the orientation and training of newly hired staff and Team Leads. In coordination with the Operations Manager and QIDP, train and coach Director Support Professionals in their role and expectations as professionals providing services and support to people with Intellectual and developmental disabilities. Role model and instruct DSPs using community-based learning initiatives and positive behavioral approaches.

Requirements
Education/Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
  • Experience and skills in Team Building
  • One year of experience with persons with Developmental disabilities.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequent walking and sitting.
  • Regular reaching, grasping, and standing.
  • Other physical activities related to an office environment.
  • Operates general office equipment, including multi-line phone, fax machine, printer, copier, and personal computer.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
