Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Part Time Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Burn Trauma unit. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, vital signs, phlebotomy, EKG testing, specimen collection, and Foley catheter care under RN supervision.

Two 12-hour day shifts, weekends rotation, 24 hours per week. Credentials include a high school diploma or equivalent and either CNA/NCMA/NCPCT certification or an approved clinical program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, and one of the following is required.
• CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or equivalent certification is acceptable.
• One year of health care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care, supports activities of daily living, and monitors vital signs under RN supervision.
• Observes patients' conditions and documents changes, communicating with nurses and medical staff promptly.
