Job summary

Peggy’s Home Care in Monterey, CA is seeking a Home Care Scheduler to serve as the operational backbone of the agency. With at least two years in scheduling, staffing, dispatching, or coordination, you will manage caregiver schedules, respond to real-time changes, and help ensure continuity of care for our clients.

You will schedule caregiver shifts, handle call-offs and emergencies, communicate clearly with caregivers, clients, and internal staff, and maintain accurate scheduling records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience as scheduler, staffer, dispatcher, or coordinator.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Professional, compassionate communication style with strong boundaries.
• Proficiency with scheduling or home care software.

Responsibilities

• Schedule caregiver shifts based on client care plans and caregiver availability.
• Manage call-offs, last-minute changes, and emergency coverage.
• Communicate clearly with caregivers, clients, and internal staff.
• Maintain accurate scheduling records and documentation.
• Support continuity of care and overall client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with management to anticipate staffing needs.
