Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a Department Supervisor to support AGP Registration at Stow Health and Wellness Center and nearby locations. You will supervise caregivers and manage the technical and administrative functions of the AGP Registration area, including scheduling, staffing, and payroll, while ensuring goals and metrics are met.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities to handle multitasking and unexpected issues.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience as a work leader, team lead or project manager OR one year of supervisory experience in a related field.
• Preferred qualifications include Associate’s Degree, EPIC experience, prior work experience in a medical facility, scheduling flexibility, and experience supervising direct reports.

• Supervise caregivers in daily operations of the assigned group.
• Maintain staffing levels.
• Approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.
• Provide leadership and training.
• Coordinate orientation and education for new staff.
• Analyze workflow and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to improve procedures, speed, quality and effectiveness.
• Ensure cross coverage across shifts.
• Develop an effective work team and morale-building activities.
• Communicate policies and provide orientation to caregivers.
