Inland Valley Veterinary Specialists in Upland, CA seeks a Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) to join our 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital. Schedule: Mon, Tue, Thu, Sun 10:00 AM–8:30 PM, with strong emphasis on compassionate client service and team collaboration.

The role involves front-d desk tasks, data entry in practice management software, and coordination with veterinarians and technicians to deliver exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year veterinary experience.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service and communication; remains calm under pressure.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations.
• Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments.
• Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
• Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
• Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
• Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.
