PetVet Care Centers’ Apple Valley Animal Hospital in California seeks a Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) to join our team. This role provides reception and front-desk support, ensuring smooth patient flow and exceptional client service in a high-volume veterinary setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent education/experience.
• 1–2 years of experience as a veterinary receptionist in a hospital setting.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and in stressful situations.
• Manage lobby flow, address concerns, calm distressed owners, and schedule appointments.
• Handle basic medical emergencies for pets and their owners, ensuring safety.
• Assist with medication pickups and inquiries, and share information about services/products.
• Enter and manage data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
• Assist with retail sales, weigh pets, process faxes, and maintain records.
• Reconcile cash drawer and perform end-of-day financial tasks.
