ADVENT in Miamisburg is hiring a Care Coordinator to act as the patient advocate across the treatment journey. You will connect patients, providers, and teams to deliver seamless, compassionate care while guiding insurance and costs.

The role blends empathy with action in dermatology, plastic surgery, optical, chiropractic, wellness settings and more. Full-time, weekdays hours with potential coverage at nearby clinics; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare, social work, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in customer engagement within care coordination or sales-driven environments.
• Proficient in managing insurance, benefits, and cost-of-care discussions with patients.
• Strong ability to influence and guide patients toward goals and outcomes.
• Proficient in medical terminology and collaboration with providers.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent time management; ability to work independently and plan proactively.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, building trust and providing education.
• Identify and resolve care barriers, guiding patients toward completion of care.
• Balance compassion with efficiency to support patients and clinic workflow.
• Advocate for patients on insurance, deposits, authorization, and out-of-pocket costs.
• Own the patient journey end-to-end with strong listening and problem-solving.
• Coordinate scheduling, follow-ups, procedures, and documentation with staff and physicians.
• Monitor adherence to care plans and engage patients with ADVENT's value proposition.
• Discuss costs and next steps with a value-driven approach.
