• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume phones environment is expected.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Review referral requests from primary care physicians and onsite specialists.
• Coordinate appointment dates and times for patients.
• Inform patients of appointment details and arrange transportation if needed.
• Protect patient information and maintain confidentiality in the EHR.
• Review open referral reports daily to ensure readiness before visits.
• Process a minimum of twenty referral orders per day.
• Handle referral authorizations per health plan protocols (e.g., Availity).
• Coordinate procedures for surgical clearance and forward documents to providers.
• Schedule urgent referrals per physician requests.
• Inform PCP of missed appointments and reschedule as needed.
• Scan and index documents in the EHR for timely access.
• Participate in center/market teams related to patient care plans.
• Aid coworkers to ensure smooth office operations and quality service.
