Job summary

SEARHC seeks a Manager to oversee inpatient care coordination, discharge planning, and social services at Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center. Lead a team of Care Coordinators, Social Workers, and Inpatient Care Coordinator Technicians to ensure high-quality care and efficient operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and an Alaska RN license (or another U.S. state license) with licensing eligibility. LVN consideration, strong leadership, and regulatory compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or another U.S. state required.
• Direct hires must apply for an Alaska RN license prior to the start date.
• Agency staff must hold an active Alaska RN license.
• Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in Alaska or another U.S. state may be considered.
• Same licensing requirements apply as above.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Clinical Competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years.
• Manager Competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years.
• ACMA Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide team leadership and supervision while fostering a collaborative environment.
• Manage daily assignments and schedules to ensure balanced workload.
• Mentor new staff and provide ongoing training.
• Build relationships with post-acute providers.
• Ensure quality of care and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement new strategies and goals.
• Support case managers and social workers in resolving complex cases.
• Oversee care coordination processes for timely discharge planning.
• Monitor compliance with regulations and policies.
