Job summary

Care.com in Dallas, TX, is hiring a Care Specialist to deliver an exceptional member experience across phone, web, email, and chat. After training, you’ll guide members through emotional wellness, home care, legal and financial topics, and connect them with the right benefits.

You’ll document needs, collaborate with our Research Team, and maintain high service levels while educating members on benefit plans and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant work experience considered in lieu of a degree.
• 2–4+ years in human services or related fields.
• Strong emotional intelligence and communication, analytical and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls with a positive, professional, and empathetic approach
• Conduct active listening and needs assessments to determine support and resources
• Support members across email, web, and chat during call downtimes
• Verify member eligibility and record requests in our CRM system
• Educate members about their benefit plans and services
• Collaborate with Research Team to connect members with resources
• Maintain performance standards including SLAs, call metrics, and response times
• Educate on topics such as prenatal care, child care, adoption, parenting, academics, and more
• Provide critical support for members in urgent or crisis situations
