Job summary

VITAS Healthcare in Georgia is seeking an Admissions Scheduling Specialist to coordinate referrals, confirm same-day appointments, and ensure timely admissions while delivering concierge customer service.

You will work with the Director of Admissions and cross-functional teams, manage scheduling tools, and maintain data integrity across systems. A high school diploma and 2+ years in medical terminology or admin/call center are required; bilingual Spanish/English a plus.

Qualifications

• Two+ years experience in medical terminology or administrative office/call center.
• Ability to type at least 45 wpm.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Process referrals to fit referral source needs and intake processes.
• Offer and confirm same-day appointments when possible.
• Participate in morning check-in meetings and plan staffing needs.
• Collaborate with Director of Admissions to ensure resources in scheduling tool.
• Provide concierge level customer service in every interaction.
• Use the Cisco Phone System and handle inbound calls as needed.
• Maintain data accuracy in computer systems and protect data integrity.
• Escalate issues to Admissions leadership when needed.
