Job summary

Sci Corp is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant in Clearwater, FL to provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations. Responsibilities include greeting families, answering questions, and assisting during services, visitations and ceremonies.

The role requires compassion, strong communication, and the ability to work with staff and management. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and preferred prior customer service or sales experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services by setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes.
• Prepares documents related to services and maintenance.
• Assists with preparation of remains and operation of crematory as allowed by law.
• Answers phones and handles office duties and equipment.
• Runs errands for supplies and deliveries.
• Serves as an usher and may assist with parking and transportation.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensures refreshments are available where permitted by law.
• Assists with visitations, memorials and funeral services; sets up and dresses remains.
