Responsibilities include setting up rooms for ceremonies, greeting families, assisting with the preparation of the deceased, driving family members, and maintaining vehicles. The role requires working beyond standard hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid state issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• No prior work experience required; funeral industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare casket and deceased for visitation or funeral services, including dressing and transport.
• Set up rooms for services, arrange chairs, flowers, and keepsakes.
• Greet visitors, provide programs, answer questions, and relay information.
• May serve as pallbearer and may transport families to cemetery sites.
• Perform office tasks: phones, reception, data entry, mailings, and deliveries.
• Maintain vehicles: washing, fueling, basic maintenance as needed.
