Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; ability and willingness to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services by delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and other keepsakes; ensures proper care and storage.
• Prepares documents related to services and cremations as directed by management.
• Assists with preparation of remains, including dressing and lifting remains, or operation of crematory as permitted by law.
• Performs office duties: phones, fax, computer, multi-line phone system, and office equipment.
• Runs errands for supplies and deliveries; assists with visitations, memorials and services.
• Acts as usher, may park cars, and handles transportation requirements.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensures refreshments are available where allowed by law.
• Greets client families and provides information at the office.
