Job summary

St Philips Care Group is seeking a reliable cook to join our busy kitchen and team. You will prepare nutritious meals with high standards of quality and presentation for our residents in a care home setting.

You will work within budgets set by the home manager and follow the home’s policies, maintaining hygiene and safety. Training and development opportunities are provided to support you in delivering excellent residential meals.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Catering or equivalent.
• Basic or Intermediate Food Hygiene certification.
• Knowledge of textured and modified diets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals and beverages as required.
• Work in accordance with the home’s policies.
• Carry out kitchen duties maintaining high hygiene standards.
• Use resources efficiently and place food orders.
• Report issues raised by residents to the Care Centre Manager.
• Attend mandatory in-house training as required.
• Understand COSHH and comply with safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene records.
