Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in New Jersey is seeking staff for patient registration and scheduling within the ED and clinics. You will verify insurance, collect payments, and coordinate follow-ups with PCPs and specialists.

Excellent customer service, multi-tasking abilities, and familiarity with Epic are required. A high school diploma (some college preferred) and HIPAA compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• Customer service and registration experience in a medical facility.
• Knowledge of insurance pre-certifications, authorizations and referrals.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, EMTALA and revenue cycle concepts.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and schedule appointments, ensuring timely follow-ups.
• Verify insurance coverage and collect payments.
• Coordinate discharge follow-ups and referrals with PCPs and specialists.
• Assist with obtaining referrals and pre-authorizations as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
