Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Cardiovascular Unit on the 12-hour night shift, 36 hours per week.

As a nurse on this unit, you will provide safe, effective, and culturally competent care for adult patients with acute medical and surgical conditions, supervise teammates, and coordinate with physicians and families to optimize outcomes. You will work within telemetry, safety standards, and MercyOne values.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Iowa required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required if telemetry monitoring capabilities.
• Must complete Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and develop care plans.
• Identify patient problems and develop care plans.
• Coordinate care with LPNs, aides, and nursing team.
• Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms as needed.
• Communicate with physicians, patients and families.
• Maintain safety, infection control and policy compliance.
