Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse to deliver individualized, high-quality nursing care across unit specialties. You will collaborate with the care team to plan, assign, and evaluate patient care while adhering to policy, safety, and patient-centered standards.

The role requires Iowa RN licensure, BLS certification within six weeks, and completion of mandatory training. Shifts include days/nights on a 36-hour workweek with weekend rotations; benefits are competitive

Qualifications

• Possession of a current or compact state licensure as a registered nurse.
• BLS certification within six weeks of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter training within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care.
• Practice safe patient handling techniques.
• Evaluate assigned patients and provide ongoing treatment.
• Address educational and emotional needs of patients and families.
• Guide healthcare personnel in caring for patients.
