Job summary

UF Health Central Florida is seeking a Cath Lab CVT to assist in monitoring diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization procedures. The role includes acting as a scrub assistant to support safe patient care under the direction of the lab director.

The part-time or full-time position requires an Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent, RCIS or RCES certification within 12 months, and current BLS/ACLS credentials with English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or alternate radiologic/respiratory therapy degrees.
• Five years of experience if no degree.
• RCIS or RCES certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Required professional licensure/certification preferences: ARRT, Florida license (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Monitor procedures in the Cath Lab CVT suite, including diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies.
• Act as scrub assistant to support safe patient care during procedures.
• Ensure compliance with credentialing, safety protocols, and documentation.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.

Overview

The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant.

Qualifications

Education: -

• Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology
• OR Radiologic Technology
• OR Respiratory Therapy

In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years experience.

AND Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

OR - Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
• OR - FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification
• OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields)
• BLS - ACLS
• Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required: - Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
