Job summary

North Vista Hospital in North Las Vegas, NV seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist to assist in cardiac procedures under a physician's guidance. Responsibilities include scrubbing and monitoring hemodynamic data, preparing rooms, and supporting staff in invasive and noninvasive procedures.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT-R or RCIS/CCT, BCLS and ACLS within 30 days, and demonstrates strong computer skills. Full-time days with comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R license or RCIS/ CCT certification required.
• Prior cardiovascular lab experience preferred.
• BCLS certification required at hire; ACLS required within 30 days.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic/hemodynamic data in the cardiovascular lab.
• Ensure procedure room is prepared and instruments/supplies are stocked.
• Participate in staff meetings, performance improvement, and training of new staff.
• Assist in invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• ARRT-R and license as required by State or Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CCT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.
• Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred.
• Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.
