Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Cardiovascular Lab Specialist to support procedures under a cardiologist/radiologist. You will scrub and monitor data, ensure room readiness, manage instrument supplies, and assist in invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

The role is full-time with day shifts and some call requirements in Dallas, TX. Qualified candidates have BLS, ACLS within 30 days, proficient computing skills, and appropriate CV lab credentials (ARRT-R/RCIS).

Qualifications

• BLS (AHA) required at hire and maintained
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire
• Proficient computer skills
• ARRT-R license or RCIS preferred/required by state
• Cardiovascular technologist training with invasive cardiology focus preferred
• Prior CV Lab experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring data under physician direction in the cardiovascular lab.
• Ensure procedure room is prepared for the procedure.
• Monitor instrument par levels and participate in meetings and training.
• Assist in invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Employment Type: Full Time

Shifts Available: Days (Some Call Required)

Hours: 8-hour options available

Location: Dallas Medical Center - Dallas, TX

Responsibilities

• Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
• Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.
• Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff.
• Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

• BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current, required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), required within 30 days of hire
• Proficient computer skills
• ARRT-R and license as required by State or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), preferred
• Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring, preferred
• Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab, preferred
