Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join the team. You will work with physicians to perform advanced cardiac procedures, support patients and families, and ensure precise delivery of care using state-of-the-art cath lab technology.

In this role, you will assist with angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements while maintaining a focus on patient safety, education, and compassionate communication throughout the patient journey.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Vocational School Graduate required for the role.
• Certification in ARRT/Radiologic Technologist or RCIS/RVT/RCP options is required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements.
• Prepare and support patients and families before, during, and after procedures.
• Operate and maintain advanced cath lab equipment for safe treatment.
• Monitor patient responses to ensure high quality care and outcomes.
• Maintain a sterile, safe environment and advocate for every patient.

Responsibilities

• Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements.
• Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures.
• Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment.
• Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care.
• Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Vocational School Graduate.
• Certification in one of the following: ARRT Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer, RRT/RCP‐State Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner, RCIS Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or RVT Registered Vascular Technician.
