Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital in Florida is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist. NEW GRAD RAD TECH'S ARE WELCOMED! You will assist physicians during complex cardiac and vascular procedures, operate advanced cath lab equipment, and provide patient and family education with compassion.

You will be part of a team delivering high-quality, life-saving care and continuously improving outcomes. Expect 4x10 hour day shifts with on-call two shifts weekly, including every 3rd or 4th weekend.

Qualifications

• RT Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer credential requirements
• Associate Degree required for role
• ACLS must be obtained within 60 days of start date
• BLS (Basic Life Support) must be obtained within 30 days of start date
• ARRT-R Radiography or RCIS certification required

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures (angiograms, angioplasties, stent placements)
• Prepare and support patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
• Operate and maintain advanced cath lab equipment to deliver safe treatment
• Monitor patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure high-quality care
• Safeguard a sterile environment and advocate for every patient

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
• Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
• Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
• Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
• Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient

What qualifications you will need:

• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
• Associate Degree
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
