Job summary

MUHA seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist I to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease in an invasive procedure setting. The role supports staff and provides room-ready preparation for diagnostic catheterization and interventional procedures.

Requires RCIS/RCES/CEPS/RT(R)CI within 2 years, BLS and ACLS within specified timelines; 0–6 months experience and graduation from an invasive Cardiovascular Technology program or equivalent.

Qualifications

• RCIS, RCES, CEPS, or RT(R)CI certification required within the first 2 years of hire.
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC equivalent).
• ACLS certification obtained within 3 months of hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties for cardiac interventions and catheterizations with minimal assistance.
• Maintains ECG setup and rhythm monitoring.
• Documents hemodynamics and procedure steps in the MacLab event log.
• Transports patients as needed for procedures.
• Ensures safety equipment checks and adequate supplies are available.
