Job summary

HCA Healthcare seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist or Special Procedure Technician to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies. You will scrub in, assist physicians, and ensure precise hemodynamic measurements and case documentation.

The ideal candidate holds RCIS/RCES (CCI) or ARRT RT(R), with BLS certification and ACLS training within 6 months of joining. One year of Cath Lab/EP Lab experience is preferred, though RCIS graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Must hold RCIS/RCES certification from CCI or an ARRT RT(R) license.
• RRT licensure is welcome.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS training must be completed within 6 months of joining.
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab/EP Lab experience preferred; new RCIS graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies.
• Scrub in to support physicians during procedures.
• Demonstrate expertise in hemodynamic measurements and readings, including valve areas.
• Ensure accurate monitoring and recording of every case and contribute to a seamless procedural process.

Job description

As a Cardiovascular Technologist or Special Procedure Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients by demonstrating expertise in human growth, development, and assessment. You will work closely with our physicians, scrubbing in to assist during both diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies. This role requires a strong understanding of hemodynamic measurements and readings, specifically regarding valve areas, to ensure accurate monitoring and recording of every case. You will be a key part of our team, helping to make the procedural process as seamless as possible for our patients and their families.

• You must have a current license or registry certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Alternatively, you may have a current license or registry from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and be licensed through the ARRT as a Registered Radiologic Technologist [RT(R)].
• We also welcome candidates with a current license or registry as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• A current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• You will need to complete your ACLS training within 6 months of joining the team.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab or EP Lab is preferred, though we are happy to consider new graduates from RCIS programs.
